Bandipur National Park is one of the India’s best known Sanctuaries, and is an important Project Tiger reserve. It is located in the Chamarajanagar district of Southern Karnataka in South India, and is contiguous with the Mudumalai National Park in the neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu, the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary in Kerala, and the Nagarahole National Park to the northwest. It is home to around seventy Tigers and over three thousand Asian Elephants, along with Leopards, Dholes, Gaur and Sloth Bears.

Bandipur is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. A bird-watcher’s paradise, a home to over 300 species of birds.

Himavad Gopalaswamy Betta, (hill – Betta) located in Chamarajanagar district of Karnataka state at a height of 1454 mts and it is extensively wooded. It is also the highest peak in the Bandipur National Park Resorts, and is only 15 kms from our resort.

Mudumalai is one of the reserves that form the lost wild frontier of the region’s fascinating wildlife herbivores such as Deer, Gaur and Elephant, and it is approximately 16 kms from our resort.
